Antonio Tarver was arrested on a felony theft and a bad check warrant after running up an alleged $200,000 bill at the Wynn Casino in Las Vegas. Now realsed from Jail after boxing promoter Al Haymon paid the debt on Tarvers behalf.
Tarver known by many as “Mason Dixon” in the final Rocky movie “Rocky Balboa” now vows to repay Haymon by getting back in the gym, and then back in the ring!
Perhaps being at Sylvester Stallone’s’ side has gone to Tarver’s head, but at 45 he is no spring chick. Just because Rocky fought Tarver’s character when he was in his 60’s doesn’t mean the same will happen in real life. Although George Foreman is proof it can happen.
Tarver who lives in the Tampa Bay area of sunny Floida was pulled over by a patrol car, and after a search found him to be wanted on warrant for the unpaid casino bills going back to 2012.
We all make mistakes but it will be interesting to see if the former boxing Champ really can make a comeback just like Balboa in the films, fingers crossed he gets back on his feet and turns things around.
As a huge rocky fan I have to admit I was hoping the judge said something along the lines of “Yo Tarver, You did It”!
